Raya Celebration

Malam Raya & Hari teragung..No gifts, No birthday card, No flowers but I had a great time with my loves one and birthday wishes from all of my friends...:)

Breaking fast at Bubba Gump..tak sedap pon!!...makan kat TGI lagik best !!...Giler kan we went jalan2 during Raya eve? hahaha..:)
I had shrimps, and calamari squid[sotong tepung kat Crystal Bay Melaka taste event better than this]..


Hubby had New York steak and Dania had her fries...which she ate with steak sauce..yummyyyy...
then at nite, she blew out the sauce i guess..nasib baik tak sakit perut ker apa ker..

It was so peaceful at The Curve during Raya eve...I think this is the time if you want to do shopping without rush and public madness...hehe tapikan ada jugak muslim still shopping for raya..hmmm...T we went to Ikea to collect the new catalog but unfortunately the catalog is run out of stock...ishhhh..then at 8.30pm we head back to home...

Pagi Raya..



The takbir from nearby surau since Subuh had awake us...hubby went to surau and me & Dania prepare the dish...no, she is not assisting but accompanying me, hehe...:)...Oh ya the day before she did help to put in the raya cookies into the jar, lunyai wei kuah arab den...then after makan, we're heading back to Seremban...After zuhur we went to Kg Sg Baru, Melaka..I've decided to let Dania meet her onyang since the other onyang I didn't manage to introduce Dania to her...hmm...

I think Dania had a great time ...we went to KLCC beraya with ikan-ikan di aquaria in next post..ngantuk lah!!

SaLam AidilFitri

Yesterday, I had my iftaar and IMV facelift Product Launch with the Panel Bankers & Insurance Companies at office. Surprisingly this is the only year I had not join any iftaar at Hotel's buffet.I skipped few invitations because I dare not to let Dania stay longer in the nursery. I need to catch up a lot of things with her since this year I've been occupying the hospital's bed for almost a month without her. She was able to call her 'abah' when she was 9 months and altho now she knew to call me mama but only when she wants something or need help. When she is pretending to call someone on the phone, she seems like talking to her abah all the times rather than me..Sungguh sedih.

Anyway, I knew that I could not be here celebrating Aildilfitri with all of my family, friends, & relatives...
Allah has given me a 2nd chance to live and celebrate the Aidilfitri with Dania for 2nd time..
A very emotional Aidilfitri for me...

I'm still working on Monday, and need to fix my car's key.

The weekends..

I love weekends...

Last Saturday, we went to OU for Raya shopping...yeah not for me or Dania..but for hubby of course..I successfully dragged him to tema kemerahan..hahaha..so his baju melayu is red of course..The Middle East theme's ambiance in OU is so cantik..and I just knew that one of my high school mate is going to work in Qatar....I'm so happy for her!!We had our buka puasa at Selayang, and Dania enjoyed very much playing with her cousins..yelahkan kat rumah main sorang2 ajek...and we went back at 10pm, reached home at 11pm..Mom called and asked us when are we going to buka puasa at Seremban..hmm..next week lah kot...:)



Today we had our iftaar at Carrefour, saje malas nak masak..I supposed to send parcel to my chairman..besok lah ye...:)..I need to lari to Post Office tomorrow..kalau takde meeting..

My leave on 30th Sept is not yet approved..hmm..kalau tak approved pon I'll still be on leave..hari teragung tuh..:)

Trip to Bangkok [again!]

We just arrived from Bangkok...has our iftaar in flight...I had Nasi Goreng Sate yang tak berapa sedap and hubby had Nasi Beryani..Earlier we already discussed that we would have sate Kajang at Dengkil on the way back home..which we did..:)...hahaha

Dania's appointment was terrific...Dr Amnuay says that we have risk our lives to come all the way to Bangkok and he said thank you for coming..such a nice human being he is, kan?..Anyway, it is worth every Baht spent in Bangkok..Dr Amnuay told us that Dania's feet is in perfect condition, softer and more flexible that earlier appointment...We were so happy..the next check up will be another 6 months time...and he wants us to send him a video once Dania start walking..oh ya Dania kiss her Doctor..it was one of the sweet moment, tell ya!Oh we gave him buah tangan from Malaysia, some delicacies for Hari Raya!!

We had our sahur from one of the hospital's in house Halal cafe...Chicken Beryani sangat sedap but my Meat Fried Rice tak sedap pulak...

We just realized that our flight to KL is at 5.50pm..so it is far enough time to go jalan2...So we end up to Platinum Mall @ fashion mall...mmg sangat fashion ok!!For first time, duit kitaorg habis membeli belah sebab tak sangka there are a lot of things to buy!!Recommended place!!

Balik kampung Service

Last Friday, i GOT my Coach!!!!Yahoooooooo! Thanks Corina!!


Last Saturday as registered owner of Altis, I sent 'him' to Subang Jaya for Balik kampung service since the payer of the car is working.hehe...The Service Advisor promised 3 hours and by 12 noon he will call once the task is completed.


Then I brought Dania to the sales showroom and shows her the surrounding where it is one of the place that keeps her mum insane..hahaha..bukan senang nak jual keta bulan pose ni cikkk!!At 10.30am, I pushed Dania (in her stroller of course) to Subang Parade...:)..keje gile!!...Then 12noon sharp, the Service Advisor called me when we were at mother & baby room. Yeah, Dania's napping time...:)

Oh ya, Dania got blister on her head keeps us worry since dah merebak kat badan and we brought her to Paed. He gave us antibiotic, wash lotion and cream...atleast we can see the improvement rather than keep on washing the blister with HKL's prescription...uuWwweeekkkk!!!!!Opps, I'm fasting!!

Yesterday we went to KLIA, sending hubby's nephew to Canada for further study.He will be there for 4 years.[In the photo, he stand next to me, in suit of course].So he is the 2nd person in their family pursuing study in the foreign land other than hubby.In their group, I saw only 5 girls - 4 Malay girls and 1 Indian girl. I hope they will come back with a good degree, good attitude and a better person.I just told him 2 important things which are the usual study hard and jangan tinggal sembahyang. My hubby tak sempat nak salam with him since hubby busy entertaining his princess at the book shop. I looked at them impressively as they looked so clean, naive and smart.

In your own country pon, if you missed your solat, Allah pon dah duga macam2 kan inikan in the foreign land.Then again, you don't have to be in the foreign land to get bad influence.I have few good examples that very close to me.isk!!


Yeah, many few years back, I'm supposed to pursue my study in oversea, and my first attempt in Banting was failed as I didn't get the minimum criteria. The 2nd attempt was in Kolej Unitek, where I did secured a better result, but the economic down turn fails me .Hmm..I broke my parent's hope and my own.When I scored a Dean List in almost every semester (except last sem) in PPP, my dad told me I was too late to prove him.My mom was speechless and I found her writing to my elder sister who was in Kiwi Island telling that she was so sad with me and so embarrassed with her relatives since they keep on asking her why Ina is still not flying. Did the letter reach you, sis?That time, I was so sad, my then again, unlike any other friends, I managed to complete my degree locally.

During this dooms time, my parent has ignored me and I didn't get any pocket money but lucky me the sponsor's self-allowance was sufficient. But when I looked back, I think I've a strong heart to face all these challenges and ...





Alhamdullilah I did secured a good life now without morale support from my own parents during my college years. Oh ya, on my convocation day, I went with my husband and my roommate, Caza. Betul, aku memang pendendam, so what?

I hope Dania's life would be better.If she got a sister or a brother one day, I hope I will treat them both equally.I hope I will not chase them out from the house if they are not employed for just 4 months or coming home late for attending 2 job interviews in whole day. Yes, please remind me as I've problem with my memory. No, I don't have undiagnosed psychiatric problem, your ass.[F&^%$#you!]

This is her latest pool of toys..tade lah banyak sangat kot...she will kiss all of her toys before she went to bed..her current favourite is of course Mickey Mouse..Never ever try to TAKE her toys because she will scream at you...Latest victim, Kak Julie...:)

Asked Kak Ti to search for Pocoyo in London..She even went to Hamsley (betul ker eje ni?)...but she couldn't find it...anyway she bought an interesting peek-a-boo book for Dania...Dania loves it very much...Tak dapat Pocoyo dapat Si Beijing Olympic pon jadik lah...but I think Dania does not really like her...too bad...but then again never ever touch this Beijing doll, she still can scream at you!!

Since when No 11 player is Ina? hahahahaha...the trip to Old Trafford was indeed is going to be the most precious trip to Kak Ti & Kak Julie...I heard there are a lots of stories to tell...:)..cant' wait..bile nak update weh?

Her first shoe

We finally bought Dania's first shoe...we went to Clark First Shoes,Osh Kosh, but it was so difficult to make up our mind and we end up buying her Crocs...Dania clubfoot's feet is 1 size smaller than the normal left feet...in other words, her left feet is size 4 and her right feet is in size 3...Her left feet also can fit into size 5 for coming couple of months...so we decided to buy Size 5 instead..so u can imagine how big is the sandal in her right feet..She can't wear the real shoe since her right feet might get off easily ..that's we bought her sandal..Itupon, ada sekali tertanggal when we were in Ikea..


We went to Sony Shop...I found this 20' LCD and they have it in PINK!!Ho ho ho...I told Dania, I will keep my promise,if she can walk and run by end of this year, this LCD will be hers..bukan dia faham pon..tak kisah lah janji I found the smallest LCD..and the retail price is almost similar price to 32' LCD TV...

I tried to find her a dress for Hari Raya...but I can't find any...yang suka pulak is 1 year old size..Currently she can fit into 3-4 years toddler dress and I think I will keep on hunting...She has only 3 dresses for outings..kedekut betul mama ni...hahaha...

OK i need to tempah her cotton baju kurung for Hari Raya..This year theme is 'kemerahan'..hahaha

Berangan

I think I need to change a car to smaller one...we have 2 sedans at home and I don't need another sedan...I'm thinking to get red Yaris Sporty version...My Vios currently value at RM65K...with special Discount for staff (alah RM8k + RM2K of e-service voucher)...hmm...let me think again..some of my friends has upgraded their car to mpv...some changed to bigger sedan...heh,what I'm doing?..No, with my condition and , I think I can't afford to have bigger family so a small car will do...anyway, the family extension will be decided after I had my next MRI scan next year...but accidents do happen..:)..kalau ada rezeki...



I need a vacation..oh ya my divisional trip is going to Langkawi..the land of chocolates..no that is not a vacation where ur bosses are around...;p..a vacation, the real one...

My officemate's cousin had a brain tumor removal few months back in HKL.She was diagnosed when she was 7 months pregnant. The baby survived, but the mother is still in coma.Last 2 days I heard, the doctor found there is residual tumor which is about 30% left and they are going to perform 2nd brain surgery on her.Ya Allah!

Mari kita sama-sama doakan untuk cousin si Aisyah ni to wake up again and see her newly born baby and speedy recovery...insya allah..

Ya Allah...give her strength as you always give me...amin!

Cheeky girl, she is...last weekend she was free from the FAB during day time...we taught her 'tatih'..after few walks she got tired already..anyway, she is getting herself comfortable with this training and we will keep on training her..i promised her a LCD TV if she can walks by end of this year...hahaha...bukan dia faham pon..cuba teka how many inches?Since she is still small and still can't value the gift that much, I will buy her the smallest...This LCD will be her TV for her PHD and animal planet session...further more epl is coming...her abah will not let her watch her favaurite Pocoyo, Danny & Daddy etc...yes, I let her watch animal planet...she enjoyed it and call all the pandas, polar bear as 'babeh' ...I think I will bring her to zoo one day...maybe we can start at Zoo Singapore..biler tuh?i don't know...

The 6th Trip To Bangkok

We were in Bangkok last Monday for the 6th time for Dania’s clubfoot follow up. Dania as excited since she did not sleep during the entire journey but already tired and almost slept when we almost reached Suvarnabumi Airport.


Look at the above photo. Her feet look amazing kan? Alhamdullilah, berkat ‘usaha tangga kejayaan’ from both of us…

Dr Amnuay told us that Dania’s feet is at perfect condition BUT he is quite annoys with Dania’s heel condition. Still tight but the feet still can be flatten.I still remember one of the specialist told us that Dania's clubfeet is shorter than the normal one, that's why kaki dia jengket. Another one pulak claimed that Dania's feet is so rigid and can not be corrected with casting and she must do another surgery(the best solution konon)...Sengal betul ...Pak Andak sey selalu kato Kueh koci Kueh Kodok, Tak ngoti, ontok-ontok...hahahaha

He said he do no want to do another release since the 2nd surgery of Dania’s feet (done in HKL) has weaken the heel. Therefore, another release of the heel cord will make Dania’s feet weaker. He taught us how to stretch Dania’s feet to improve her heel condition (which you can’t find this in HKL…;p). The another release will be the last resort and we have to try to avoid it but in HKL, it is highly recommended . Yang bestnye tuh kat HKL during the last consultation that we had , one specialist said the surgery will be done at the side of Dania’s feet, another specialist said the surgery will be done at heel area. Seriously, they do not know what are they talking about.As a parent and human being, will you confident with this 2 different opinion and recommendation?
Yes, I am stil angry with this people..;p

Dr Amnuay also worried seeing Dania still can not walk at the age of 1 year 4 months. I was about to tell him that we’ve been so naïve and has wasted Dania’s time in casting for a year in HKL where the result is so unconvincing and bad.Yes, I’m still angry. Dania still scared to walk and she loves to stand but only for few minutes.Since her feet is perfectly like normal feet, we supposed to train her to walk ‘ tatih’ daily and Dr Amnuay has allowed us to let Dania’s feet free from the shoe on daytime. Another follow up check up will be on 16th September (yes, fasting month).Oh ya, the hospital bill is only 1,200Baht @ RM120.Murahkan?



We went to Siam Paragon, Central World(again!!)...naik sky train..takde lah susah sangat...Bangkok is still on sale but I didnt buy anything, sayang duitku..:)

MR of the Brain

went to SJMC yesterday for my mri brain scan..after 6 months post- brain surgery.

The result - the post contrast images do noy shows any evidence of residual tumour.The rest of the brain parenchyma is normal on both T1 and T2 images. No evidence of of any focal abnormality on the ADC map and DW1 images. The brain stem and right cerebellum are normal.
No evidence of residual or recurrent tumour in the left posterior fossa...

I'm just copying the imaging report..Alhamdullilah, in short, there is no tumor left after 6 months post brain surgery.I asked Dr Kumar whether the surgery has caused me being mentally ill.hahaha.As expected, he laughed.Anyway, he is a good doctor, one of the best neurosurgeon in Malaysia.He is confident and he made us confident to go through all this.By the way, the operation under him is so damn expensive.I hate mri..the procedure took about 30-45 minutes..and I was caughing all the time...until the radiologist asked me to hold..sangatlah gatal tekak..manage to hold so that the images can be clearly seen and diagnosed.
Actually the surgery has lead me to Mecca and pray for the correct solution to solve Dania's feet problem.See, I still can think rationally..:p

Baby Yok Shan turns one - and learns to cope

KLANG: Baby Lai Yok Shan cuts a pretty picture in her frilly frock as she cuddles up to her mother Nut Tuemthong.

Yok Shan, who celebrated her first birthday, looks every inch a regular, happy and bubbly baby – until one gets a glimpse of her left arm which is just a stub.

(She was born on July 23 but it was her birthday yesterday according to the Chinese Lunar calendar.)

Yok Shan lost her left arm when it turned gangrenous and dropped off after a houseman at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) inserted an intravenous needle into a muscle instead of a blood vessel when the premature baby was placed in an incubator.

Her father, mechanic Lai Kian Khee, 25, said Yok Shan does show her frustration when she cannot play with some of her toys.

“She also cries when she is unable to roll over or crawl,” said Lai.

However, Yok Shan has managed to adapt and moves on her buttocks to get around, he added.

Although all appears well for the baby and her parents, the issue of her compensation from the Government is still uncertain.

“We want to end this amicably and hope the Government will come to a just and fair quantum of compensation,” said Lai.

The Government accepted responsibility for the mishap and had offered an ex-gratia payment of RM60,000 to Yok Shan’s parents, who turned it down as they felt the amount did not do justice to Yok Shan’s suffering.

“We don’t want to prolong the issue as we’ve been told that it (a court case) may take years and we are afraid that it may effect Yok Shan emotionally as she grows up,” said Lai.

Author's review - Yes, u saw them smiling, in her heart only God knows..and I bet there is a person with heartless who can tell her 'you should be thankful that your daughter has no severe congenital problems or hole-in-heart'...It is not about not being thankful or not, but we have story to tell where others should be more coutious and carefull; being the parents or the doctors..I experienced where a trainee doctor can't find Dania's blood vessel for more than an hour when she was at NICU. Knowing a lioness mother fiercely waiting outside the treatment room, he gave up and asked the staff nurse to help.Not to condemn but there are always room for improvement or 'Kaizen'.Trainee should not be allowed to treat premature babies like Yok Shan and Dania.

Went to One Utama, with my lady boss. We've have a meeting with one of our Panel Financiers at Starbucks, discussing on why makes people hold back from buying...
After that, I had my own self to shop around and I found one sport shoe in Grey and pink color!!!I'm due to change my sport shoe. Yeah my sport shoe only last for 2 years, and need to change. After I had my brain surgery; I've never had any sport activity except recent aerobics in office but I'm still buying a sports shoe.Yeah, I like my sports shoe!!Sukanyaaaa...Buy first bile nak pakai jangan tanya...eh I got Futsal lah next week...:)

back to topic...I think I need another pair of shoes for working ..Dania belum ada kasut lagik...Bile anak aku nak ada kasut macam anak orang lain?Pity her..Oh ya I browsed over UParkson..alahai tak bawak voucher pulak...We bought for Dania a pair of baju budak yang umur 3-4 tahun.. so lama sikit dia boleh pakai...I have 3 lots to exercise and I hope I will sell at high price so that I can by my Coach...my dream handbag...

I can't believe it!

Today, there was an email from Prof Sharaf of HUKM and quoting Dr Amnuay's email to him.

'Yes, the baby girl was directed to me by Prof. Ponseti. Actually, the foot was almost corrected by a ped orthopod. I didn't do anything much. Your doctor should have received the credit.'

I disagree Doc!!
I would like to stress here that none of the doctors in HKL who has touched my daughter’s feet deserved any credit. Dr Ponseti has suggested us to see Dr Amnuay in Bangkok after seeing Dania's feet photo after 2 surgeries hv been done in HKL.

This is what Dr Ponseti commented and says 'I would recommend that the cast be trimmed back over the tops of the toes so they are free to extend. The pictures show the foot is not completely corrected. There is a high arch, the big toe is hyperextended, the equinus is not corrected and the foot is adducted. She needs a few more casts. The deformity should be corrected without further surgery. Dr. Amnuay Jirasirikul in Bangkok , Thailand is experienced in treating clubfeet using our technique. I recommend you contact him. '
We have shared Dania’s feet photo with Dr Mathews Dobbs as well and he says ‘I would not recommend a major clubfoot surgery. Your child’s feet can be corrected with casting done in the correct manner and maybe a repeat percutaneous heel cord lengthening. You should not need extensive surgery.

I personally thinks that if Dania’s foot is almost corrected as per Dr Amnuay’s email to Prof Sharaf,the treatment in Malaysia should be NOT done half way and the solution is NOT recommending the 3rd surgery which we managed to escape. What Doctors in HKL has done to my daughters such as serial of casting which there were more than 7 times (Dr Ponseti says casting more than 7 times shows the treatment is in fault), the 2 surgeries which has NOT makes the physical of the feet looks better, the stupid splint by Jabatan Cara Kerja….all of this is CRAPPP!! It is against the Ponseti Method!!

For me, Dr Amnuay is just being humble to Prof Sharaf so that it may not jeopardize their relationship. From my observations, Doctors and nurses in Thailand are very humble, empathy and friendly. Shell can confirm you this as she spent her confinement days in Bangkok and she has met Dr Amnuay. Comparing with Malaysian’s doctor quality, treatment and also personality, we preferred Doctors in Bangkok. Besides, Thai’s people are sooo soft spoken.cakap pon siap ada rhythm.
I will not recommend any of clubfoot’s parents to see Paed Orthopedics in HKL until they are proven Ponseti certified by Dr Ponseti.

I’ve yet to set a date with Karangkraf for the magazine interview.
Yeah need to take half day leave for this matter.
I’ve started writing to some of the local newspaper and magazines.
I’ve ordered some Ponseti T-shirt to show support to the organisation.
I’ve received a lot of inquiries on clubfoot via cari forum…*sigh*


Update on Dania

Dania – coping well with shoes…alhamdullilah..We put her full time except for shower time & stretching. We gave her allowance to enjoy Pool Fun time at Wetland.

Dania is so unfriendly to anyone except her babysitters and us.
Currently she is addicted to teddy bears, Pocoyo and any junk foods that we ate.
Yeah we have trained her to eat fries, mashed potatoes, nuggets etc…unhealthy but filling…:)
She does not want nestum anymore, iskkk malasnye nak masak porridge…


Update on me

Finally I’ve got a date for my MRI – brain scan on 19th July at SJMC and follow up with Dr Kumar.
Insya allah – everything will be clear cuma recent mild headache feels like there is a hole inside my brain.
I still remember last time, when I got headache I felt like my brain is bleeding.
For years I’ve been keeping the pain and I still stand high until my dooms day..:)
Yesterday we went to Tony Roma’s too celebrate my hubby’s birthday…it is so yummyyyyy

We've met Prof Sharaf this morning.Very humble and friendly doctor. Far better than doctors in Pediatrics Orthopedic in HKL. He gave us an opportunity to see how he apply Ponseti Method Casting to one of his patient. From our observation, yes his method is correct but we personally thinks that Dr Amnuay's is far better.The patient is 2 months old Indian baby, and she did not cry when the casting is applied.I think Prof Sharaf did a good job in manupulating her feet similar to what I've saw in Ponseti's video.Again , far better than HKL of course.Kalau kat HKL, melalak dah babies ni...casting pon ntah haper2...

Prof Sharaf said that they're planning some kind of workshop of this clubfoot treatment by end of this year where he will invite doctors in Malaysia to attend.Now, he is collecting data for this workshop but his patient is not many.He has 1-2 patients in 2 months. Hmm..How to collect data then? He said HKL has many patients compare to HUKM since HKL is a centre of everything. Wonder why he is not sharing his wonderful knowledge with these doctors. He has suggested that me to talk to HKL doctor. I PERSONALLY think that HKL doctors should see Prof Sharaf at least. (HKL doctors who read my blog, u know what to do).Apsal lah doctors kat HKL ni tak betul buat treatment ni ek?Ker bodoh sombong? But they are doctors what...kalangan cerdik pandai kan?

He admit that before 2004, clubfoot treatment in Malaysia and also HUKM is only surgery. Yes, with many surgeries.In HKL, it is still...hahaha ketinggalan zaman doctors kat HKL ni...

What should I do know? Prof Sharaf suggested that I should write an article and keep on writing to increase the awareness. I think I hv no choice but to publish in a paper. Need to find a good source.
